Created by skiers who know what’s at stake

SHLD was founded by two long-time skiers and passionate ski instructors. For more than ten years, we worked in the mountains and regularly saw the same thing happen: skis disappearing, taken by mistake or simply gone by the end of the day. Considering how expensive ski equipment has become, it never made sense to accept this as “part of the sport.”

As instructors, our equipment wasn’t just something we owned. It was something we depended on every single day. Yet there was no simple, discreet solution built for real mountain use.

SHLD is a discreet anti-theft tracker designed specifically for skis and other outdoor equipment.

Unlike general-purpose trackers, SHLD is built for mountain conditions: cold, snow, moisture, and impact. The tracker is permanently mounted to your skis and works seamlessly with the Apple Find My or Android Find My network. This allows you to locate your skis without a subscription, without an extra app, and without relying on GPS or mobile networks.

SHLD uses Bluetooth Low Energy and connects to the Apple Find My or Android Find My network.

The built-in battery lasts an average of 12 to 24 months, depending on usage and environmental conditions. Recharging is simple via a standard USB-C port, with no special cables or accessories required.

This ensures SHLD remains reliable season after season, without maintenance or hassle.

In general, the location accuracy falls within 20 meters. Accuracy improves when more smartphones are nearby, resulting in more frequent and more precise location updates. In quieter or more remote areas, the location shown reflects the most recent update.

When you’re close to your skis, you can also play a sound on SHLD to pinpoint their exact position.

Your privacy comes first.

SHLD uses the official Apple and Google Find My networks. Location data is anonymous, encrypted, and only visible to you. SHLD cannot be tracked by others and does not collect any personal data.
